Colorado autumn is golden. Not the many-hued palette of the East I am accustomed to, but a warm and steady gold. The very air seems tinged with shimmer as sunlight filters through the leaves.
It will not last long. Today the wind is strong, and leaves are beginning to carpet the walks and lawns. But while there are still are golden leaves hanging on, I revel in these spaces that tingle with warmth.
Two months since my arrival in Colorado, and I collect her precious elements to tile in my memory.
